"Interested in showing off your computer programming skills to win great prizes? Never coded before but want to learn? On November 18th and 19th, Tyler Web Dev and Acorn Aspirations are hosting the Tech for Tyler Hackathon - 30 hours of learning, collaborating, and coding in downtown Tyler.    Competitors will arrive at the event, form teams, create a "tech hack" - something that makes life better using technology - and pitch their projects at the end of the weekend to win over $100 worth of prizes.    Sound daunting? If you've never coded before, that's okay! Throughout the weekend there will be workshops teaching beginners how to make basic Android Apps, websites, and much more! There's even challenge prizes just for newcomers. All ages are welcome. There will also be free T-shirts, lunches, dinner and snacks provided throughout the weekend!
